Fashion week is the moment when brands showcase their new collection for the next season. They do that through fashion shows, presentations, but some brands also opt for a lookbook. Instead of doing an exclusive (and expensive) fashion show, they just tell their story through a series of photos. Vetements did it last season and now Alexandre Vauthier did it, too.
Alexandre Vauthier ss18
Vauthier’s ss18 collection is full of very feminine and showstopping looks. It definitely has a high Parisian va-va-voom factor to it. Just as a lot of other designers, Vauthier is bringing back the polka-dot and the 80s couture vibe. And the shoes. We need to talk about the shoes. The collection features a small range of shiney heels/boots that are meant to be worn with pride. We’re obsessed with the boots!
The spring/summer 2018 lookbook of Alexandre Vauthier was shot by David Bellemere in Paris. According to the designer, drivers on the Rue de Rivoli couldn’t stop honking when they saw Luna Bijl posing in his ss18 collection. The location for this fabulous shoot was the Hôtel Le Meurice. Discover the collection and its beautiful lookbook below.
