Balenciaga took their spring/summer 2018 menswear show into the woods. An international crowd moved to Bois de Boulogne, to have a first look at creative director Demna Gvasalia latest creations. As we speak all 57 runway looks presented in Paris already are available for pre-order.
Compared to last season, Demna gave us rather basic silhouettes yet putting comfort first. The good thing is they never lost a bit of the Balenciaga coolness. What made the collection a must-see are the early 90s boys who just stepped out of a time machine. That felt very familiar!
Supported by a background techno song, the Balenciaga men were sent up the runway suited in faded jeans, windbreakers, oldish outerwear and see-through raincoats over denim jackets. More than that, their newly launched ‘EUROPA’ logo print which repeatedly appeared on shirts and other garments out of this laid-back collection.
See now, buy now
If you’re a die-hard Balenciaga campaigner you’d be glad to know the collection is available for pre-order now. It’s actually better to get your hands on it now, to be honest. Considering we’ll probably be on the next thing by the time we actually reach spring 2018.
