Summer face goals
This Summer, we’re getting major face inspiration from Kenzo, La Collection Memento. The show took place in Paris on March 1st. Almost more than for the collection, we had eyes for the surprisingly simple but stunning makeup looks.
Extremely nude, barely-something-there skin and a sporadic, sudden pop of color: that’s the look summed up. Why is this going to be our summer face uniform? Well, when it’s hot, the last thing you want to do is melt your face off. That’s why a minimal base is your best friend: there’s no fear of looking like you dipped your head in a bowl of gravy by the end of the day. A good moisturizer, an efficient sunblock and maybe something to even out your skin tone and you’re good to go.
To spice things up, read the Kenzo note and add a blended out color accent wherever you want. Pick one, though: it adds to the unexpected wow-factor. A vibrant smoked out eye (done with one shadow!) will do the trick. Other options are a bright lip stain or a vivid color applied right to the apples of the cheek. One color, one blending brush, two minutes and you’re done! We love it when we get to be lazy and still slay. Slayzy, if you will. It’s a mood.
Each day another slay
The cool part about this look? You can change it up each day, with different colors, different placements, different shapes. And if you have some more time to spare, you can do that one crazy graphic liner underneath your eyes. Sure, it’s a bit more advanced, but the result is there.
One show, so much inspiration. It’s fashion week done right! Now, where’s summer at?
