The beauty world is constantly being showered with new products. Every week, we’re sharing our beauty crush of the week. A stunning beauty look, a great product or a cosmetic revelation, everything is possible! If we crush, we do it hard. This week’s beauty crush: Kat Von D Beauty’s upcoming Saint and Sinner eyeshadow palette.

Nothing is as exciting as a new eyeshadow palette coming out, and the Kat Von D Beauty Saint and Sinner Palette has it all. Great packaging, a refreshing colour selection and, well, supposedly, good quality. Let’s get into it!

Kat Von D has been running one of the coolest make-up brands out there for almost ten years now. Code words? Edgy, cool, cruelty free, vegan and badass. Some of her products have become iconic in the beauty industry, like the Shade & Light Contour Palette, or the liquid lipsticks.

Kat Von D became known through her work as a tattoo artist, an influence that shows through in her cosmetics line. The lettering is often kinda gothic, and the packaging rather spooky and dark.

The new upcoming Saint and Sinner palette, which launches September 19, fits perfectly in the Kat Von D image. It is inspired by the light falling through windows in big European cathedrals, and the colours they show. First of all: the packaging is amazing. It actually looks like a church window, and it opens like one too. It looks luxurious, dark and cool. Second of all: the colour selection is pretty rad. You get enough neutrals to create the base of your eyeshadow or to do an everyday kinda look, but the pops of colour in there make it fun and interesting. Browns, pinks, oranges, yellows,… It has everything to get your make-up heart racing.

Due to the atypical shape of the palette, the eyeshadows inside are organised a bit ‘weird’ as well, but that’s not actually a bad thing. Seeing the bright colours next to eachother gives inspiration for combinations you might have never thought about, and it will challenge you to think outside the box. We’re here for it!

For Christ’s sake, get me the details!

Well, the palette is launching on the 19th of September, on Sephora.com. It will retail for 62 dollars, which is a steep price, but of course you pay for the packaging and concept, AND you get 24 eyeshadow shades in there. If you break it down, that comes to about 2,5 dollars per shadow. Not too bad, right? Kat Von D is also completely cruelty free and vegan, so that’s also a plus. If this palette doesn’t convince you to go to church, nothing will! So, are you getting on your knees?
