The latest musician to make a remarkable comeback is Bruno Mars. Serving a hot new track entitled ’24k magic’. With the drop of his new 80’s disco music video two days ago and his studio album releasing somewhere near the end of November. Enfnts Terribles is keeping a close eye on the talented artist that had our hips shaking these last 3 days.
It seems like Mars’ video is on its way to reaching Bieber-like success on youtube with over 19 million clicks. We’re glad his fans responded well to his comeback since his latest album was released 4 years ago. Proof that we never forgot about him and we’re not about to do so very soon. And here are a few reasons why.
New album release
This latest retro funk track ‘24K Magic‘ with a heavy usage of electronic synthesizer absolutely sets you in the party mood. The song serves as the 1st single and 24K Magic also is the title of Bruno’s next album supposedly releasing on November 18.
The artist signed at Atlantic Records is bringing back a music genre that is very new to this generation. But until now he managed to rock the house every time he performed his funky disco songs. Like his performance at the Super-Bowl 2016 next to Béyonce and Coldplay. We just wonder how far he’ll take his retro-funk act.
Back to the 80’s
Video-wise the visuals of the new music video include clues linking to 80’s funk: Cuban links and loads of designer pieces from Versace. Throughout the 3 minutes and 46 seconds, the Italian couture house was in for a funky ride. Starting with a private jet and convertible cars, only to get the party going in Las Vegas. With a catchy hook that goes like this:
Players only, come on
Put your pinky rings up to the moon
Girls, what y’all trying to do?
24 karat magic in the air
Head to toe soul player
Uh, look out!
Epic Versace moment
What did you think of Bruno Mars’s Versace looks? He started off with a colorful vintage Versace shirt and ended up in his PJ’s riding through a hotel in motorized grandpa scooters while throwing money in the air. That was an absolute Versace moment right there.
Things you didn’t know about Bruno Mars
For starters, his birth name is Pete Gene Hernandez. He grew up impersonating Elvis Presley and started his career as a songwriter and producer. Mars even produced songs for Brandy, Sean Kingston, Adam Levine, Alexandra Burke and more.
Surprisingly Chris Brown co-wrote Bruno’s new single ’24K Magic’. Well, we definitely enjoyed this new music and we can’t wait for his album to be released on November 18.
