Givenchy’s power woman already pledged her allegiance to the French fashion house. Being the first lady appointed to be artistic director, since Hubert de Givenchy founded the brand in 1952, she had big shoes to fill. After Clare Waight Keller‘s debut at Givenchy, she proceeds by giving us another beautiful collection. A pre-collection that finds its balance amid urban influences and Givenchy’s signature couture glance.
Clare Waight Keller’s first pre-fall collection for Givenchy.
Creative director Clare Waight Keller introduces her first Givenchy pre-collection for men and women. The pre-fall 2018 series, photographed in a mansion in Kent, is a parade of men styled in embroidered evening wear and tapered pants. While the Givenchy gals sport long skirts and tailored looks with all kinds of prints.
However, there’s one thing we’ll never second-guess. That is Ms. Waight Keller’s ability to design strong jewelry and accessories. And so she did, by carrying on the traditional 4G emblem and creating zodiac signs inspired jewelry. Though, let’s not forget how timeless her premium leather bags and shoes turned out to be.
