Friday Music: These Are Our 6 Favorite Drops

Even though a lot of artists sound like a carbon copy of each other, there’s always a few standing out from the masses. That being said, the Friday Music list on Spotify is definitely a good way to stay ahead of the weekly new tracks our favorite artist are dropping. Because on Fridays all you truly need is good music to set the mood for the weekend.

Take a listen to our new discoveries.

Ciara: Level Up

Our favorite dance queen is back with a new dance song ‘Level Up’. It has been three years since her last single and after being constantly covered in the news because of her affiliation with rapper Future, a new track from miss Cici was much needed. There’s a music video to which you can dance to, so press play, get up and shake it!

Russ: September 16

Today Russell Vitale, known by his stage name Russ, released a new single dubbed ‘September 16’. His new track sounds like a chopped and screwed version of Fantasia’s song ‘When I see you’, with Russ’ own lyrics.

070 Shake: Accusations

070 Shake unveiled her new solo single titled ‘Accusations’. You might recognize the G.O.O.D. music signed artist from Kanye West’s Wyoming Sessions. She is definitely one to keep on your musical radar.

Take a listen to 070 Shake’s new music.

Chance The Rapper times 4

The Chi-town rapper announced his four-single release on his Twitter. Four singles in which he’s getting a few things off his chest. Though these releases got us thinking, is an album coming soon? We want to know!

In the meantime, listen to Chance The Rapper’s new singles available on Spotify.

The Internet: Hive Mind

The California-bound soulful band, The Internet, released their fourth studio album and it’s called Hive Mind. As usual, you can expect a balanced mix of funk, soul and hip-hop.

Hive Mind is now available on Spotify.

BROCKHAMPTON: 1988 TRUMAN

What’s fun about following Friday Music is that you constantly discover a new artist or band. BROCKHAMPTON, an American boy band based in California, founded in 2015, dropped a single titled ‘1988 Truman’. We heard BROCKHAMPTON for the first time and we’ll dig deeper into their old archives because their edginess is what sets them apart from the rest.
