Today Gosha Rubchinskiy released a new photo book titled Tokyo, photographed by none other than Gosha himself. Even though the Russian designer recently revealed his Fall/Winter 2017 collection. In this photo book, he explicitly wanted people to feel more familiar. So he featured the key pieces from his Fall 2017 collection, worn by models scouted from skate parks all around the Japanese capital.
Before becoming a fashion designer, Rubchinskiy was a photographer documenting Russia’s underground youth culture in the early 2010s. In 2015 his photo documentary titled Youth Hotel was so popular, it sold out during the pre-sale. And last year he hooked up with Lotta Volkova, a stylist for Vetements, to publish another body of work named The Day of my Death.
As for now, you can order your copy of the Tokyo project book for $45 at Dover Street Market Ginza.
