On Wednesday the 4th of october, Louis Vuitton opened the Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme. The new store, at 2 Place Vendôme in Paris, is newly designed and re-instated by architect Peter Marino. It marks the house’s grand return to where its story began over 160 years ago, when a young Louis Vuitton opened his first store.
Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme
Travel goods, fashion and jewellery have been part of Place Vendôme and its neighbourhood for over 300 years. It was at Place Vendôme that Louis Vuitton learned his craft and where he founded his first store, back in 1854. The new Louis Vuitton Maison will reunite the house’s traditional métiers. Couture, ready-to-wear, jewellery, watchmaking, leather goods, shoes, fragrances, accessories and artisanal workshops are being brought together, all in one place .
At the night before its women spring/summer 2018 runway show, the iconic brand threw an opening party for the new boutique. As one could expect, the place was packed with celebs. Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander and Jaden Smith were just a few of them.
Take a look inside the brand new boutique below. Wouldn’t you want to shop there one day?
