On Monday night, Jennifer Lawrence wore a Dior spring 2018 couture dress to the premiere of Red Sparrow in London. The American actress is currently on a world tour to promote the new movie and to attend premiers all over the world. With premiers come fabulous dresses and if your name is Jennifer Lawrence, chances are big that those fabulous dresses are made by Dior.
The dress, that was shown just a few weeks ago on the Dior couture runway, took 8 people and 800 hours to make. Dior exclusively revealed to us how the gown was made. Organza was hand-painted in green, beige, pink and blue. Just like sun rays, one color next to the other. A labyrinth of thousands of sequins was folded for a pleated effect and an even more mesmerizing experience when you see it in motion.
The result of this major process is a dress that reminds us of the early work of Christian Dior himself. Surrealism was the inspiration for this couture collection. Which is something you can see in this dress, too.
