The first Monday of May is Met Gala time and this year was no difference. To be really honest with you guys, nobody really cares about the exhebition or anything that is related to the Met Museum. All we care about is the damn outfits.
Met Monday is one of fashion’s highlights of the year, with celebs getting dressed by teh biggest names is fashion! Let’s have a look at the Met Gala 2016 best and worst dressed guests. Start scrolling.
Taylor Swift -aka Anna’s favorite- was one of the co-hosts of this year’s Met Gala. She wore a full Louis Vuitton look and we absolutely loved it! Twitter was hating on Tay’s outfit like the devil itselfs made it, but twitter isn’t always right when it comes to red carpet outfits.
Lara Stone + Tom Ford = Match made in heaven. ‘Nough said.
We love this look, but slow down on the make-up pretty please. Didn’t you pay loads of money for your face to look as beautiful as it is today? Don’t hide al that work and money under a thick layer of make-up, honey.
Diane von Furstenberg
We don’t really have a strong opinion about DVF’s outfit, but we’re wondering what kind of drugs she was using when she thought about putting butterflies in her hair. She might still have been on it when this pic was taken…
Lily Rose Depp
Lily Rose Depp -sorry, you HAVE to say that name in full- is looking gorgeous in a full Chanel look. We totally get the match between Lily Rose and Chanel, it just seems so perfectly obvious. We are big time fan of this one and we’re living for that Chanel bomber jacket!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Dear Kardashians, can you please stop wearing Balmain over and over again? We get it, Olivier Rousteing is practically drawning you with dresses and jackets, but there are other designers in this beautiful world!
Besides that. We actually love these looks. Kim looks great with bleached eyebrows and kanye’s jacket is to die for. We also loved the chelsea boots and denim on the red carpet.
Look. At. That. Train. We love it!
Thank you for NOT wearing Balmain.
Katy Perry, who allegedly decided to bleach her eyebrows minutes before she left for the Met Gala, is wearing a gorgeous Prada gown. We love this dark look on Katy, but we don’t think a lot of other celebs could get away with this outfit. Props to Katy and her stylist for this one!
Zoë Kravits, daughter of lenny kravitz and Lisa Bonet, was wearing a creature from Valentino’s Fall 2009 Couture collection. We love that she was one of the few guests who dared to take a risk or two.
The Weekend and Bella Hadid
Beyoncé wore like a really chic condom. We’re confused, but kind of love it…
FYI; that clutch is really strategically placed. If you know what I mean.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid
When you try to fit into the theme, but you end up looking like two cosplay fans in a cheap costume.
LADY GAGA IS BACK. After a ton of really classic looks from the queen of pop, we’re finally seeing Lady Gaga in something edgy again! We adore this look on her.
WORST DRESSED: Madonna
Everything about this look is wrong. It seems like Madonna went out the night before Met Monday and she didn’t get any time to wash her hair or to remove last night’s make-up. We actually think it is a shame that a marvelous brand like Givenchy made the thing she’s wearing. This look isn’t ‘Met Gala’ at all!
BEST DRESSED: Claire Danes
You might be confused right now. Hold your breath and watch the video below. That’s right! Claire Danes won the Met Gala with a gorgeous glow in the dark gown by Zac Posen. After all, this year’s theme was ‘Manus x Machina’, which celebrated fashion in an age of technology. We were kind of surprised that Zac Posen was the only one who really did something cool with the theme.
