We all know the effects sunlight and addictions such as smoking have on our skin. If your intention is to look fresh and young as long as possible, you should cross these already off the list. Another cause that has a detrimental impact on premature aging is pollution. But what to do about this when you live in one of the most densely populated areas in the world. One option is moving… which isn’t always evident. Or you can start protecting your skin thanks to the always improving dermatologic solutions.
We tested the new Crème Fraîche de Beauté from French brand Nuxe. An all natural lightweight moisturizing cream that also protects your skin from pollution.
The effects pollution has on your skin
According to emerging scientific research, air pollution is prematurely aging the skins of people who live or spend a lot of time in busy city centers. Definitely the inhabitants of capitals such as London, New York and Beijing should pay attention. And not only wrinkles but also other skin conditions such as eczema and hives are a real problem. Some doctors even claim that pollution is the main cause of pigment spots on the cheeks.
Nuxe Crème Fraîche de Beauté
Nuxe recently launched a brand new range that promises to keep your skin moisturized for 48 hours and protects it from pollution at the same time. The new formula is a refined mix of vegetable milk and a hightech seaweed extract. What makes this combination so special is that it hydrates intensely, to the deepest layers of your skin.
Within the range you have a moisturizing cream for 3 different types (dry, normal and mixed), a mask and serum. We have been testing both the serum and the cream for a mixed skin. However it’s hard to see any results after two weeks, we can conclude that it does hydrate. Also, it felt like our skin absorbed less dirt out of the polluted environment we live in. We can’t predict what the long term effect will, by then probably some new and improved products will be launched, but for now the Nuxe Crème Fraîche does seem to fulfill the expectations.
