New York Gem: Blind Barber in East-Village has a secret speakeasy bar

Recently, while discussing the hip speakeasy bars in New York city, we discovered a multi-faceted barber shop: Blind Barber.

By day

The front is an old-fashioned hair salon doing cuts, trims, and shaves for men. On top of that, you get a free drink with every haircut. All the more reason for you to book an appointment.

At night

Typically for speakeasies, at night Blind Barber opens its secret back room garnished with sofas and a frisky bar serving great cocktails. For the party gangers, it’s just another perfect place to pre-drink. However, here the regular East-Villagers come together to grab a glass of Sweeney Ted. And after a little too much drinks, it can quickly escalate from a casual meet-up with friends to asking the DJ to play your favorite song.
