However we’re not really into autumn, we do look forward to meeting the new collections. Let’s have a look at what our favorite FW16 designers have in store for us!
J.W. Anderson is the enfant terrible known for his special shaped designs and he definitely is the king of colors. For a few seasons we’re way into his signature bags with the anchor logo, preferable in a flashy shade. And how damn beautiful is that cream knit with ribbons on the sleeves. This item will be put on top of our FW16 wish list.
Compared to last season the overall image of the Vêtements collection kinda looks the same. Denim, hoodies, oversized shirts, quotes, male vs female and over the knee boots. But for now we don’t mind. Unfortunately everything is so damn expensive however that contributes to the exclusivity of the brand.

Alessandro Michele really got rid of Gucci’s dusty image… and on another level! He proved yet again how talented he is with his FW16 collection for the brand. Country girl meets 70’s sports meets Renaissance biker. We don’t even understand how he was able to translate all these themes into a great collection. Making a list of our favorites would be impossible, we just simply like (almost) everything. This season we even dare to say that this is our absolute favorite.
Dries Van Noten
Dries Van Noten is a designer who never disappoints. We still don’t get how he manages to make a genius collection season after season while remaining loyal to his own signature style. For FW16 he created some beautiful fake fur items (yes, it’s possible) and we can’t get enough of the shoes! Those boots and pumps with round heels literally make us salivate.
Shop: trousers, heels
Since it’s the first collection that Demna Gvasalia created for Balenciaga it was to be expected that the looks would get a little Vêtements touch. Which we don’t mind… After Nicolas Ghesquière left, the Spanish fashion house could use a fresh perspective. Alexander Wang did ok but we prefer seeing him designing for his own label.
Balenciaga FW16 got a streetwear update: high waisted denim, sweats and big shopping bags. For the women who can walk on 4.5 inch silver or golden heels it’s really a collection made for daily use. Our absolute personal favorite must be the Bazar leather tote. What a simply brilliant idea to give that plastic bag we’ve been laughing about for years a leather upgrade.
