For starters, Beyoncé arrived at the VMAs accompanied by the cutest “accessory” on earth: Blue Ivy. With the mannerism of a real queen, her highness charmed the crowd wearing a fluffy pastel detailed Francesco Scognamiglio gown. Paired with $12.5 million worth of diamonds from Lorraine Schwartz on her ears. The queen always goes big!
Performing at the VMAs
After many rumours about whether Beyoncé was performing at the #VMAs or not. On august 28 MTV made it official on Twitter saying :
🚨🍋🚨 BEYONCÉ. IS. PERFORMING. #VMAs🚨🍋🚨

In contrast to the Beyoncé madness that was happening on the red carpet. The entire Lemonade live spectacle was crazy enjoyable. We knew she was going to slay the stage at Madison Square Garden on a random Sunday. And so she did! Here you have a glimpse of Beyoncé’s live MTV VMA performance from yesterday.
Big winner of the night
This year’s big winner was none other than Ms. Beyoncé Knowles. Which was to be expected… For the first time in her entire career Queen B was nominated for 11 awards. She ended up winning 8 of them and even managed to outpace Madonna for most VMA wins in one night, respect! These are Bey’s winning categories:
- ‘Hold up‘ won best female video
- Formation , the album, won best direction, best editing, best cinematography , best choreography, best pop video and video of the year
- Breakthrough long from video ( a new category that was added this year )
The ex-Destiny’s Child member took it to her Instagram by sharing this precious and record breaking moment with her fans. After all, she was the treat of the night.
Squad goals completed
Wait, hold on a second… have you seen the part where Beyoncé completes a squad goal? Blue Ivy wasn’t her only accomplice in this. The Lemonade singer brought along the women who appeared on her last visual album like Winnie Harlow, Chloe and Halle, Ingrid, Quvenzhané Wallis, etc. We told you Bey came here to slay!
