If there were 3 brands omnipresent in the shoescape this or last season it must be Miu Miu, Gucci and Vetements. We even see loafers, asymmetrical ballerinas and marked sneakers while we’re sleeping. You think that by now, everyone would move over to another brand. Cause that’s what people in fashion business usually do. But we have to disappoint you… The three musketeers are determined to stay with us for a little while.

Vetements and the waaaaay over the knee boots

While most designers go rifling through the past, Demna Gvasalia has a rather futuristic point of view. Just when we got rid of te over the knee boots (ok, they can be beautiful sometimes but we spotted far more don’ts than do’s), he takes it to the next level together with Manolo Blahnik. We were speechless when we saw them at the SS17 show and up till now we can’t get over the fact that these boots are truly a piece of art.

For about 3500€ they can be yours and act quickly because they’re almost sold out. No joke… there are actually still people who both have a good taste and a lot of money.

Fairytale heels (and the return of Jamie King) at Miu Miu

Miu Miu launched its Pre Fall 2017 campaign last week featuring Jamie King who clearly didn’t loose her touch. Besides her return it were the glitter fairytale heels that rocked the ad. Once upon a time anno 2017.

Louis XIV meets the 80’s in an all black landscape at Gucci

Gucci’s latest campaign didn’t only stand out because of the collection itself. An all black cast rocked the pictures. Shoe-wise it were 80’s party heels and Louis XIV style heeled loafers that stood out. Obviously combined with classic beige logo socks. If we’d throw a party at Versailles right now, this is what the dresscode would look like.
