Sita Abellan does it again! Seems like the model, Instagram star and DJ turned designer who blessed us with her first merch line ‘Techno Capitalism‘ earlier this year, is back for more. Her Highness aka the “techno princess” teamed up with Parisian label Faith Connexion for a first capsule collection. The presentation was held at Moxy on Times Square.
This collusion is a reaction to all brands that are making oversized clothes. Instead, Sita Abellan used recycled garments to create new pieces that emphasize the shape of the woman. Inspired by “Typical Girls”, a song by the punk-rock group The Slits, this capsule collection includes 9 pieces that perfectly reflect Abellan’s rockstar taste. Think black tulle leggings, a cropped tan tank made from oversize “Faith” patches, a 90s-like mini dress, a sporty cropped tech gilet and more.
“It was amazing to work on this capsule with Faith Connexion,” said Abellan to WWD. “It felt [like] I could really express myself without boundaries. I’m very happy about this collaboration.”
One remarkable piece from the collection we couldn’t keep our eyes off was the hand-made calfskin electric blue biker jacket adorned with 2500 studs. And apparently, it took more than 30 hours to make. Take a look at some of the showcased silhouettes.
