Since an excessive amount of the female population on Instagram is posting daily pictures with the world’s most known it-bags, it seems like we’ve seen enough of some. Doesn’t matter how great the designs are, due to an overload we get bored with certain items before they even hit the stores. It’s sad, we know… the whole thing of buying a famous designer bag was, how paradoxical, the exclusivity. But since social media opened up our wardrobes to the general public, there’s nothing exclusive about it anymore.
The rise of the unknown
Luckily boredom always leads to something new. The overload of shapes and logos paved the road for some beautiful, not yet famous labels. Three rather unknown brands we spotted lately are Wandler, Marvais Belgium and Nico Giani. What these have in common is a clean design which reminds us a tiny bit of the Céline bags. However, they managed to do their own thing with it.
The advantage of not wearing an it-bag is that you don’t carry around the brand stamp. You can create a beautiful look of your own without having to depend on a logo or name for support. And you’ll pay the price the bag is worth and not the name of the brand. Last but not least, even though your designer purse may somehow be exclusive, wearing a beautiful brand that isn’t globally famous will always be more unique.
Where to buy?
Wandler is for sale via Netaporter, Nico Giani via Farfetch and at the moment you can only find Marvais Belgium in selected stores. But we expect that this will soon change since they already had a collab with Moda Operandi.
