For The Love of Music: 4 Reasons Why You Should Visit Barcelona This September

Since music is such a big part of our lives, we thought it would be interesting to mix music and travel for a change. As of today, one of our editors booked a last-minute flight to Barcelona before summer officially bids its farewell. He went on by looking for the hotspots in town and to his surprise, Barcelona is continuously up for a party. So for the love of music, here are 4 reasons why you visit Barcelona this month.

“Feminine Identities”: an expo by Julia Wolkenhauren

This city has a lot more to offer than only the works of Gaudi or the Picasso museum. Art lovers are also very welcome to explore Julia Wolkenhauer‘s photography exhibition at Mutuo Galeria. Where she will showcase her artwork to the open public from September 7th until the 30th.

Lady Gaga and The Rolling Stone will be performing in town

Ever tried going abroad to see an artist perform? Well, you should try it sometimes. Take the weekend off while you’re at it. Not because you have to but because you deserve it. We were initially looking for events happening this month and we found out that Lady Gaga and The Rolling Stone will be performing in the same week.

Gaga, who is on her Joanne World Tour that started in August, will make her first stop in Barcelona on September 21 at Palau Sant Jordi. And The Rolling Stones will perform on September 27 at the Olympic Stadium. In fact, the “Stones – No Filter” tour will include all the members: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood. Giving back to all the fans.

La Mercè

Every year the city of Barcelona transforms into its most entertaining state. For 4 days straight the entire city is out partying. This end-of-summer bash includes its own parade, free concerts, Castellers and more than 600 events throughout town. In museums, parks, cafés, etc. you name it, La Mercè is everywhere.
