5 FW20 Runway Trends You Should Remember

The Fashion Week craze has finally passed and we had a moment to sit down and let it sink in. Honestly, we had so many impressions the past few weeks that we needed 5 extra meditation sessions and a chakra healing to cope with the it all. Anyway, we’re back with a very professional analysis of the FW20 runway trends you should remember (in case you want to look on point next season). Enjoy!

1. Black (f)leather

The, as in the major trend for next winter is black (f)leather everything. Counting all the black leather looks during fashion weeks is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Those who are part of a biker gang can rest assured, your suit will be very Balenciaga.

2. Big Coats

Big coats ain’t nothing new, it’s just that next season there will be a lot of them. If you’re insecure about the fact that you’re small and this has caused a mental disorder of not wanting to wear anything oversized, now is the time to get over it. If the Asians can pull it off, so can we.

3. Fringes

We didn’t expect fringes to return so soon but hey, here they are. In our opinion, it isn’t easy to make this ornamental textile trim not look like a curtain but Prada and Bottega Veneta proved there is hope.

4. Signature Sleeves

Signature sleeves have been going strong for a while now and they clearly don’t intend to leave just yet. Victoria Beckham showed us some delicious bishop sleeves and the arm candy at Fendi was just too much to handle (in a positive way).

5. Tailoring

The saga of power dressing continues for FW20. In case you totally missed it, designers unanimously decided that dressing down is no longer the only way. Here and there you were able to spot a lost pair of sneakers, but the ’90s denim and tracksuit trend is over and out. Blazers, pleated trousers, shirts, ties and more blazers are what you should wear next winter.
