5 Upcoming Sneaker Collaborations You Have to Look Out For

It seems like May is a great month for sneakerheads. There are a lot of sneaker releases coming up but also some great collaborations. We’ve listed our five favorite collabs for you. You’re welcome!

Sacai X Nike LDWaffle + Blazer

Ever since Paris Fashion Week SS19, we’ve been looking forward to this collaboration. And Sacai definitely didn’t come to play. Their long-awaited collaboration with Nike is a strong one. For this collaboration they worked with two designs of Nike, LDWaffle and Blazer. LDWaffle is a hybrid of the Nike’s LDV and Waffle Daybreak. For the LDWaffle there will be five different colorways, both very colorful as more gray- and blackish. So far only two colorways are scheduled for May, the “varsity blue” and “green”. For the Nike Blazer there will be two different colorways, one being the “Varsity Maize” and the other one being “University Blue”. It’s very interesting what this Japanese brand pulled off with the design, the tongues, mudguards, laces, and Swoosh are all doubled up throughout. Let’s just say, for once, we don’t mind a double vision.

GOLF le FLEUR* x Converse "Quilted Velvet" Pack

GOLF le FLEUR* X Converse “Quilted Velvet Pack”

GOLF le FLEUR* x Converse collaborations have always been very playful and beautiful. And this one isn’t any different. Tyler, The Creator went velvet for this one. The collaboration will bring three sneakers, two One Stars and one Chuck 70. The One Stars will be available in both red and brown. The Chuck 70 will only be available in a deep dark purple. All three of them are foreseen with the GOLF le FLEUR* motif in velvet, a white logo on the tongue and velvet laces. Each sneaker also comes with floral-print insoles.

Release date: 17/05/2019

Price: $110 (One Star) and $100 (Chuck 70)

CPFM x Nike Air Vapormax

As you may remember, Nike announced a new Air Max series to celebrate the famous model. The last one to release was the Nike x CPFM Vapormax 2019. This is Cactus Plant Flea Market’s first collaboration with Nike, and they did not disappoint. CPFM is known for its playful and colorful designs and that’s what we got with this collab. Actually, they went completely out of the box for this design; they made a lit version of their Nike VaporMax. Literally, the shoes can be charged up, so the entire bottom comes lined in a light-up neon tubing. Gradient cushioning double up the color while uppers opt for a much more neutralizing gray, topping off the entire kit with the label’s signature dual eyed smiley face and a massively printed “JUST DO IT,” which sits along the medial on the right foot and lateral on the left.

Raf Simons x adidas Ozweego

Raf Simons x adidas Ozweego

This isn’t the first time Raf Simons and Adidas collaborate. In Spring/Summer 2019 Raf Simons and Adidas are coming up with a new glammed up range of the designer’s RS Ozsweego. But we have to say, they are the most glamorous yet. Maybe the fact that the lower part of the upper and the whole midsole have been coated with a reflective TPU film for a mirror effect has something to do with it. There will be six different colorways, as you can see in the picture there are three very bright colors (dark blue, red and pink). But if you’re not really into colored sneakers, no worries! The other three colors are white, gray and black.

Release date: 23/05/2019

Price: Unknown (probably $390 judging by previous releases)

Patta x Air Jordan 7

Patta and the Jordan Brand have joined forces for their most recent collaboration. It isn’t the first collaboration for these two, but it is the first time they will team up for the Air Jordan 7. Nothing too special for this design, the Air Jordan is pimped in suede and leather upper, embroidered with Jumpman branding and printed with the typical Patta branding.

Release date: 18/05/2019
