6 Party Collectives From Paris, Berlin and Belgium Join Forces at Celebration of Life 2021 in Antwerp

This weekend on November 19th and 20th, the infamous party collective Fanklub is kicking off the first edition of its festival ‘Celebration Of Life’ at Trix in Antwerp. The festival will host six different party collectives from Belgium, Paris, and Berlin to each host a stage during one of its two-day-long festival.

UPDATE: Due to new and stricter COVID regulations enforced by the Belgian governement, Celebration Of Life is postponed to 2022. Keep an eye on the event’s Instagram page for updates!

On Friday, the first day of the festival, the stage hosts are the highly respected techno collective Possession from Paris. But also on the lineup for Friday are Fanklubs very own party concept Scandals and drag collective House of Lux from Ghent. On Saturday, Celebration Of Life is inviting Berlin’s iconic queer run concept HerrensaunaGay Haze from Brussels, and Antwerp’s pop concept All The Lovers!

1. House Of Lux

This Ghent-based drag collective House Of Lux are already living legends in the Belgian drag scene thanks to their legendary Queerly Beloved parties, and they are a personal favorite of ours. Mauve Lux, Krietjur, and Susan from Grindr will serve amazing looks, a lot of energy, and — most importantly — a lot of queer love. They will host the Trix Cafe on Friday, with an interesting lineup: DJ Assolina, Angel666, Basbusah, Goinkiki, and of course, the House Of Lux queens.

2. Possession

Also on Friday, Celebration Of Life is welcoming Possession, which is “one of Paris’ most critical underground queer techno raves,” according to Boiler Room. The Parisians are taking over the Trix Hall with VTSS, Parfait, and Cassie Raptor on the decks! With this promising lineup and neat reputation, we’re looking forward to what they will bring to Antwerp this weekend.

3. Scandals

Fanklubs very own party concept Scandals is hosting the Trix Club on Friday and as an Antwerp-based concept, this is kind of a home match for them. Performers of the night are Fruits, Azo, Lignac, and Octa Octa who will do a back-to-back set with Eris Drew.

4. Herrensauna

Founded in 2016, Herrensauna has already made quite a name for itself. The collective has created a steadfast haven for queer people who felt Berlin nightlife had become too straight, too touristic, and too commercial. As co-founder of the collective, MCM LXXXV is kicking off the Trix Hall on Saturday. Other DJs on the lineup are CEM, SPFDJ, and Hector Oaks.

5. Gay Haze

The Belgian party concept Gay Haze is not a foreigner in the Belgian club scene. Next year, they’ll be celebrating their fifth anniversary and Trix already gets a little taste of what to expect. With a diverse and thrilling mix of DJs such as Fais Le Beau, Vieira, and Byron Yeates, the night is set to be legendary. There will also be a live performance by Dance Devine. Gay Haze became a not-to-be-missed party, and we’re sure they are bringing the same energy to the Trix Club on Saturday!

6. All The Lovers

Every party organized by All The Lovers has always been a night to remember. Founding member Pop Rules aka Erik Vanberghen has cemented his collective in the queer scene of Belgium and always invites some mesmerizing DJs to share his stage. The Bummers will celebrate their debut, DJ AW/FW will serve pop perfection, and Kevin Legolane will have JEPP, an extra special guest. Pop fans need to be at the Trix Cafe on Saturday to witness this!
