This year, Yule begins on the Winter Solstice on Monday, December 21, and ends on Friday the 1st of January. We are sending off the dark year that was 2020, in a very different but according way.
Yuletide — A Dark Retelling of Christmas
Before it was Christianized and evolved into modern-day Christmas, Yuletide was the Northern European midwinter festival celebration. It was connected to the Wild Hunt, the God Odin, and pagan traditions. This editorial is a dark retelling of Christmas, akin to older imagery, and a revolt against the modern-day, overcapitalized, Christian Christmas celebrations.
