About the location
The 16th-century Gaggiandre is a unitary complex composed of four buildings, designed by Jacopo Sansovino and constructed between 1566 and 1573. The four buildings are connected by impressive brick arches with Istrian stone columns. Initially, the complex served as a shipyard. Nowadays the Gaggiandre is an adaptable space, intended for entertainment activities at the Biennale in Venice.
