Belgian Label Arte Creates Disruptive Capsule Collection for Samsung

For the release of the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Korean tech giant has collaborated with Antwerp-based label Arte for an exclusive capsule collection.

To introduce the new smartphone into the community of creatives, Samsung opted for Arte—a creative label with a streetwear soul. The result is an innovative capsule collection consisting of a bag, Galaxy Watch4 straps, a jacket, and a buds case. To top it all off, Arte also designed a digital Watch interface.

“At Arte, we want to be close to our community and challenge them creatively. We try doing that by translating an artistic and current concept into our ready-to-wear collections,” Bertony Da Silva, founder of Arte, explains. “Also with the innovative collabs we do with young designers, artists, and now Samsung, we always think of the bigger creative picture.”

An ode to vintage logos and Korean roots

The new Galaxy S-series smartphone is made for a new generation of creatives and professionals. With a battery that lasts for two days and an integrated S-pen to write down all your ideas, Samsung says the phone stimulates creators to #dowhatyoucant.

Inspired by this, as well as Samsung’s Korean roots and iconography, Arte created the capsule collection with links to the Korean race culture. The jacket with vintage Samsung logo patches, which is the masterpiece of the collaboration, is a perfect example of this.

The Samsung x Arte capsule collection is available from April 15th at the Arte stores in Antwerp and Brussels, as well as online on the Arte webshop. The pieces will also be available at the Samsung Experience stores in Wijnegem, Docks Bruxsel, Mons and Charleroi. Prices start at €69.
