These 6 Albums Are Coming Out In April

A new month means a whole lot of new albums to look forward to! This year has been very good to us when it comes to albums and April is even more promising. We’re getting long-awaited new records of many exciting artists, that are set to appear at festivals all over the globe.

Banks — Serpentina

It’s been a while, but this month Banks will finally release another studio album. Almost three years after III, the American singer is back with Serpentina. That’s not the only reason why this record is highly anticipated because it will be her first one as an independent artist. After hearing some singles such as “The Devil” and “I Still Love You”, we can promise you that she’s stronger than ever. Something to look forward to!

Kae Tempest — The Line Is A Curve

In 2019 Kae Tempest found their way into our hearts with The Book of Traps and Lessons thanks to its magical way of combining music with poetry. It’s no wonder that we’re looking forward to more. The Line Is A Curve seems to be the perfect way to feed our expectations. Not only does Kae sound even more interesting, but we can also find some big features on the tracklist. Lianne La Havas, Kevin Abstract (from BROCKHAMPTON), Grian Chatten (from Fontaines D.C.): they all got to work together. Sounds promising to us!

Lizzy McAlpine — Five Seconds Flat

If Finneas O’Connell is one of your biggest fans, that must mean that you’re very talented. We can confirm that Lizzy McAlpine definitely is one to watch, especially now that her second album, Five Seconds Flat, will be released. After a promising debut, the American singer will now confirm the hype with this record. FINNEAS is, by the way, on the tracklist, just like other big names such as Jacob Collier. Lizzy will without any doubt enchant your heart, and you won’t even be mad about it.

‘Five Seconds Flat’ is out now!

Wet Leg — Wet Leg

Wet Leg has big shoes to fill since their self-titled debut album might be the highest anticipated record of 2022. The duo only has five songs out but became a big hype since their first release, “Chaise Longue”. A fun mix of post-punk, pop, and some sparkly extra is apparently the perfect recipe for a hit album. We’re already curious what their next big hit single will sound like, and how the girls will make this album come to life … Wet Leg has a lot—a lot—of upcoming shows, so don’t miss them in a city near you!

‘Wet Leg’ is out now!

Kehlani — Blue Water Road

There isn’t a lot that we know about Blue Water Road, but we do know that Kehlani has teamed up with none other than Justin Bieber. So they can’t go wrong. The third album of the American R&B star is the first release since It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, and this record will be a follow-up. Kehlani already declared that Blue Water Road started as a deluxe version for the last album but then took on a life of its own. We’re looking forward to seeing where this will end!

‘Blue Water Road’ will be out on the 29th of April.

Kelly Lee Owens — LP.8

It’s an exciting time for Kelly Lee Owens because not only did her debut album turn five years old, but she’s also releasing a brand-new record this month. LP.8 will follow the fantastic Inner Song, but that’s not the only reason why we’re looking forward to the album. The Welsh DJ and producer made this album as a reaction to her canceled world tour. These nine songs will be the perfect way to get back on track for her. So if she’s playing in your favorite club, please don’t miss out on her. LP.8 will make your night.

‘LP.8’ will be out on the 29th of April.
