Antique meets modern
“The gowns, coats but also samples and printing blocks from the MoMu collection illustrate how printing techniques were experimented with within Europe and how insanely popular fabrics were in the 18th and 19th centuries,” says MoMu conservator Wim Mertens.
In the chateau, the collection of MoMu flourishes with the flowered wall-covering. In the 350 years, the exposition didn’t forget its modern designers: Antwerp designers Dirk Van Saene and Dries Van Noten will also show their blossomy clothes.
‘Print & Paint’ runs from May 26 to October 9, at Chateau d’Ursel. You’ll find more info on the website of MoMu.
