WECANDANCE and New Creative Director Dennis Vanderbroeck Announce 2024 Theme

The Electronic Beach Festival WECANDANCE has announced its theme for the 2024 edition in Zeebrugge: Drop in the Light, Rise in the Dark. Under the new creative direction of Dennis Vanderbroeck, the festival embarks on its most creative and expressive journey yet.

Drop in the Light, Rise in the Dark

WECANDANCE will transform Zeebrugge beach into an artistic festival terrain on August 3, 4, 10, and 11. The theme allows WECANDANCE and its visitors to explore themselves and their interpersonal transformation.

“We’re encouraging visitors to interpret the theme in their way and have their transformation reflected in their outfits,” says Dennis Vanderbroeck. As per usual, WECANDANCE has prepared a Pinterest board for you to use as inspiration.

“We want to explore the relationship between fashion, art, design, and music.”

Studio Dennis Vanderbroeck says the festival itself was the inspiration for this year’s theme. WECANDANCE’s  12-hour duration takes the visitors on a journey from sunrise to moonlight, and this transfiguration will be integrated throughout the festival. The focus is not just on fashion this year: the eclectic stages and art installations will also be on theme.
