On May 15, Valentino unveiled L’Atelier Sonore at its Madison Avenue boutique in New York. It is a partnership with cultural platform Terraforma, founded by Ruggero Pietromarchi. The project invites visitors into a quiet, contemplative listening room that feels more like an avant-garde salon than a traditional fashion space.

In collaboration with architect Francesco Lupia, the design revolves around three central elements: a custom-built sound system, a handcrafted listening console inspired by traditional woodworking, and modular seating with velvet cushions. These components interact in a balanced and refined way. Each piece is finished with a patchwork of fine wood veneers, showcasing intricate details and reflecting a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, intimacy, and timeless aesthetics.

To mark the opening, Maison Valentino and Terraforma hosted a 10-hour live program highlighting the vibrancy of New York’s music scene and its wide-ranging international influences. The event featured a series of intimate listening sessions by artists such as Laraaji, Lea Bertucci, Laurel Halo, Lizzi Bougatsos, Chuquimamani-Condori, Kevin Beasley, Veronica Vasicka, and Physical Therapy. Each artist played a 45-minute vinyl set drawn from their personal archives.
