A guide on What to Binge First on Disney+

Are you craving a cozy night in front of the TV, but don’t want to let your freshly microwaved popcorn get cold while you endlessly doubt what you should watch? Look no further, ‘cause here are seven movies and series to watch on Disney’s streaming service, Disney+. There you’ll find entertainment from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, topped off with some new content exclusively made for Disney+.

1. The Mandalorian

Star Wars fans reunite, as Disney+ exclusively hosts the very first live-action series set in the Star Wars universe, The Mandalorian. From executive producer and writer Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian brings the story of a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin, who makes his way through the galaxy.

The series takes place in between the movie Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens and its first season counts eight episodes of around 35 minutes. Season two starts streaming on October 30. It’s worth the hype!

2. Black Panther

Black Panther (2018) is a Marvel superhero blockbuster about a Black hero T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman, who defends his threatened homeland Wakanda.

The movie has a majority Black cast, and that’s why it’s so significant to the Black community and the Black Lives Matter Movement. It’s an empowering story, immensely relevant today.

Sadly, lead actor Chadwick Boseman died at the end of August due to cancer, but his legacy carries on.

3. Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs

As the very first Disney animated movie, this classic from 1973 is a must-see. We all know the story of the fairest princess Snow White who has to deal with a very cruel and jealous stepmother and her poisonous apple.

However, it’s worth to watch this movie (again) and feel like a little kid, amazed by the kindness, the loyal animals, the music, and the amazing details in this story.

4. Unlikely Animal Friends

If you loved how kind the animals of the forest were in Snow White, the series Unlikely Animal Friends is right up your alley. In each episode of 45 minutes, National Geographic covers heart-warming stories about powerful, unusual friendships between animal species.

Take for example the rhino who loves to play with a sheep, or the dog who’s buddies with a polar bear. Right now, three seasons full of fluff and interesting facts are available on Disney+.

5. Hamilton

Hamilton is a historical story about the life of the first Secretary of the Treasury in the United States. Sounds boring, no? Think again, because the Broadway musical Hamilton tells this story through modern music like hip-hop in such a powerful way, that it will bring you to tears. It paints the picture of a man who has nothing but works his way up to power and fame. To do so, the creator of the show, Lin-Manuel Miranda, based his story on the biography Alexander Hamilton by author Ron Chernow.

With catchy songs and incredible vocals, the music is bound to be stuck in your head for days, which is a good thing, believe us.

6. Edward Scissorhands

This modern fairytale by Tim Burton from 1990 is a movie for literally everyone. In a castle far away, a scientist works on a crazy project: an artificial human. Sadly, the creator dies before he can finish and a boy with scissors for hands, Edward, is left behind. This story about family and friendship has great humor but also a dangerously sharp edge. Besides, the visuals are uttermost unique and recognizable. It’s no wonder that this movie won several prizes, like an Oscar, or Academy Award, for best make-up.

7. One Day At Disney
