Antwerp-Based Brand YNGR Launches Second Collection Including Silk Shirts

After launching a first collection of bags for men and women, Antwerp-based brand YNGR is back with a second chapter to its story. For this new collection, the brand is releasing a mini-collection of resort-inspired printed shirts, scarves, and bags.

Inspired by Indian chintz fabrics, 90s tracksuits, and moments and places discovered on travels, chapter two of YNGR focuses on things many of us are longing for right now. In a way, this collection is all about dreaming.

Designer Donovan Tjon explains: “I had an eclectic mix of inspirations that came together. A tropical reworking of clovers, hearts, spades, and diamonds are transformed into a scarf print. I redrew my version of a classic chintz and mixed jungle animals into the prints.”

Chapter 2

For Chapter Two, YNGR expanded its horizon beyond leather bags. The brand is now debuting silk shirts and scarves. The silk is feminine and luxurious, while the shapes are masculine and roomy. The collection focuses on gender fluid sensibility. The prints are all original, hand-drawn, and painted by Donovan Tjo.

The silk shirts are unique pieces made-to-order and will be numbered in a limited edition per design, maintaining a strategy of responsible stock volumes. YNGR uses silks with a mixture of 68 percent lyocell — a renewable raw material that comes from the pulp of trees. As for the bags, there are three new designs, all made with recycled leather.

Fun fact; the campaign and lookbook shoot for this collection were produced by our very own ENFNTS TERRIBLES Studio. The campaign will be released soon, too.

YNGR Chapter Two is available from November 10, on the brands webshop.
