Ariana Grande Says Bye for a Bit with Live Album

For over 100 nights, Ariana Grande took the stage to bring her most recent album ‘Sweetener’ to life in her Sweetener World Tour. To be fair, calling it a world tour isn’t 100% correct as the tour brought Ariana only to Europe and North America, but as a global superstar, the American singer knows how to make all her fans around the globe happy. One night after the final performance, ‘k bye for now (swt live)’ dropped and we’re more than happy to relive the whole ‘Sweetener’ experience.

Ariana has been working hard these past months and brought her Arianators in ecstasy with her performance. Critics called her Sweetener World Tour one of the best of the year, especially because of Ari’s convincing live vocals. Not sure what we’re talking about? Just listen to the live version of “breathin”, which has arguably one of the best vocal runs of the whole show and still gives us goosebumps.

An angel

The Sweetener World Tour was Ari’s big comeback and saw her return stronger than ever before. Thanks to her long ponytail and cute stage outfits, she didn’t only sound like an angel but also looked like one. Ari didn’t come to play on this tour, because every song was sung with an incomparable ease that could make other singers blush of jealousy. Show opener “raindrops (an angel cried)” was a real showstopper that left every spectator in the arena breathless. Lucky enough, the same magic comes across on the live album.

Not only Grande is on her A-game on the live album, her band also did an exquisite job and add extra depth to the songs. With 32 songs on the setlist, k bye for now (swt live) doesn’t only focus on her recent album, but also included her biggest hits that are still fan favorites. Furthermore, the album also includes the guest appearances of Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and Childish Gambino that joined her on stage from time to time.

A gift

Ari gave her fans the best holiday present by releasing her first full-length live album as a goodbye for a bit. These past months have been exhausting for Grande and she deserves a long break, not only to rest but also to focus on making brand-new music. We can’t wait to see what Ari has in store for us next. Thank you, next…

The album is available to stream on Spotify.
