BANKS Tries Something New On Her New Song ‘Look What You’re Doing To Me’

There aren’t many acts that mesmerize us as much as BANKS has done these last couple of years. The American singer is internationally acclaimed for her epic dark electro pop and already released two praised albums. Especially her second album ‘The Altar’ did well and placed in many ‘Best Albums of 2016’-lists. After a long break, Jillian Rose Banks is finally returning with her third album ‘III’, which will be released on July 12th.

At the end of April, we got her comeback single “Gimme”, which is still stuck in our minds, but the follow-up single”Look What You’re Doing To Me” isn’t any less captivating. In fact, the song is even more special because it’s the first collab she’ll put on an album of hers.

Look What You’re Doing To Me

BANKS second single for the new album features the American pop-project Francis and the Lights, but that doesn’t take away the fact that the song sounds like a typical BANKS song. The whole vibe is maybe a little different compared to “Gimme”, but this new side is suiting her just as well. To be honest, it’s not her best song, but that’s not a bad thing since she has so many insane pop-hymnes that are just on another level. Maybe the song just needs time to grow even more, but the creativity behind it can’t be overseen.

III will be released on July 12th and will feature 13 numbers, including “Gimme” and “Look What You’re Doing To Me”.
