For those who don’t know County of Milan by Marcelo Burlon, let us give you a brief update. In 2011 an Italian DJ Marcelo Burlon decided to found his streetwear brand that focused on graphic tees only. Alongside the first rising street apparel companies like Shayne Oliver’s Hood by Air, Virgil Abloh’s Off-White and Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God.
Back in the days, County of Milan became so iconic and diverse their runway shows were packed! Making people wanting to see more of what this creative newbie had to show. And let’s not look over the fact that these Italians were amongst the first to introduce high-end streetwear labels at Pitti Uomo.
With over 450 stockists worldwide their secret to success and longevity is due to hard work, a Milan-based production, high-quality clothing and the big County of Milan community. Therefore to assure continuity Marcelo and other independent fashion designers took the initiative to work in a collective atelier, including Virgil Abloh and Shayne Oliver. We’re eager to see the creativity that’ll be coming out of that building.

Throughout the years Marcelo has been backed by a group of influential creatives like Asap Rocky, Kanye West, Rihanna, the Kardashians, famous buyers and more. Part of Marcelo’s success is understanding the power of collaborating and that’s what kept their house relevant. Because we’re stronger together!
