Dior to Open New Pop-Up Store in Mykonos

Dior has a new destination for visitors of the Greek island Mykonos and it’s about to open very soon. It’s in a Greek village called Nammos that the French house is planning on opening its new pop-up store. The astonishing seaside view only makes the island life experience even better. While you’re booking your ticket to the nearest resort, have a look at what Maria Grazia Chiuri got up her sleeve.

From June 15 to October 15, you can shop Maria Grazia Chiuri’s exclusive capsule collection. Everything gets a Mykonos revamp, including the bags, clothes and other accessories. Dior’s creative director made sure every garment has a connection to the Greek island. “J’adior Mykonos” or just “Mykonos” engravements and embroideries are found everywhere. Even the Dior Book tote, a summer must-have, got a personalized Mykonos look.

Living that island life has never been so Dior-y-fied.

Why Mykonos?

The last decade Mykonos has become a very trendy travel destination. However, that’s not the only reason why the French house planned to pop-up over there. Mykonos is actually a part of the brand’s history. In his early fifties, founder Christian Dior stayed there helping to promote the local handwoven fabrics. Back then the Greek influence came to life in his designs from 1953, he even named a few of his dresses Corfou, Athènes and Rhodes. Nonetheless, the store itself has a white facade that reminds us of the traditional architecture of the Greek Island. But still, it blends so well into the natural landscape.
