Many in the fashion industry try to highlight the positives after the hard year we’ve had, but Florian Wowretzko felt it appropriate to give a name to this hard time with the German title Erdenflug. He reasons that the transience and fragility of humans should always remain in our subconscious.
The collection consists of comfortable jersey T-shirts—sometimes with a slit or with a mock neck—paired with ultra-long and wide overcoats made of virgin wool and leather. Wide trousers are folded at the waistband and lengthways mixed with draped silk jerseys or hoodies. To add to that eerie feeling, the inscription “A sea of dreams did breathe on me” by composer Krzysztof Penderecki is embroidered in white denim with long fringes and threads.
