Elton John Is Obsessed with Young Belgian Artist Amery

“This is fabulous”. That’s how Sir Elton John described Amery’s latest single I Need Lovin’ last Monday. He did that on Apple Music radio Beats 1, which is kind of a really big deal. The British icon played the song in his weekly Rocket Hour show, followed by Marvin Gaye’s Sexual Healing gushing over how “they sound so good together”.

Co-Signed by Elton John

The 21-year-old Belgian singer is one of the first artists to have signed with W!G Music, which stands for “Weird !s Good”. After signing with them, just at the beginning of this year, he got co-signed by Elton John. This doesn’t mean he is now signed under Elton John’s label (Rocket Music Entertainment Group). But it does mean that Elton John is officially giving his stamp of approval to Amery and his music.

I Need Lovin’ follows So Good, Amery’s debut effort released back in March. The debut single didn’t go unnoticed with more than 600 000 streams and a selection for the famous app musical.ly’s #NextWave program. His feel-good pop is something that could go places.

Amery, who’s currently working on his debut album, is definitely worth keeping an eye on! We can’t wait to see him grow.
