The festival season is here and if Extrema Outdoor set the trend for 2019, it is going to be epic. Extrema Outdoor took place on the 7th, 8th and 9th of June and has been called Tomorrowland’s little sister. With 60.000 visitors, this edition was their most popular one yet. But it was Desperados that got the crowd in party mode. They created a monumental yet surprising XL-experience for the visitors in between the camping site and festival.
To enter the Desperados party, guests had to go through a teeny-tiny tent with the Desperados logo. This was the entry to a conceptual tunnel, that led them to the big hidden party tent. The XL-attributes were the eye-catcher of the party, making the visitors feel like they entered an enlarged camping tent. This idea was a Belgian initiative to end the uninspiring vibe of the camping site.
This party was part of “Epic Parties Imagined By You”, a new philosophy of Desperados where they ask their customers to share their wildest party dreams and help them realize their craziest wishes. For the Extrema Outdoor edition, it was graphic designer Yann Laissy (‘Pache’) who was behind the theme. This experiment of Desperados is the first worldwide party concept that works with “crowd-sourced” ideas. The big finale will take place in September in London: YourFest. All the best ideas from the global pool will be exhibited there.
