Exclusive Premiere: STACE Shows a New Facet of Her Artistry in the Music Video of “Tainted”

Whereas STACE’s songs once reflected music developed in a bubble, her upcoming EP ‘Overblue’ opens up to the world, to encounters, and to interesting dialogues between instruments. The new project is the result of intense reflection and reveals the journey of the Brussels-based artist who is aware of her strengths, her shadow zones, as well as her doubts and fears. After already gracing an editorial as part of our ‘On Our Radar’-series, we’re delighted to see this artist’s journey develop even further with the new single “Tainted” and its music video as proof of that.

For the music video, STACE again collaborated with Brussels director Ila Pittalugo (Emma Bale, Noémie Wolfs, Pommelien Thijs), who already made the visualiser of “Underwater”. Together with the team from Enfant Terrible films, she went to a coastal town on the North Sea for this, where they gave new life to the story of “Tainted”. “Lately I’ve been struggling / Fake faces, a veil on things / Tainted picture, we’re watching the world get colder,” she sings wistfully, but with hope in the first verse. The duality between the gloom and the light at the end of a long tunnel, can be heard on “Tainted” and also seen in the music video.

STACE will be performing in the AB Club in Brussels on November 10th. Her new EP ‘Overblue’ will be released on October 27th. Follow STACE on Instagram and Spotify
