GmbH’s Ghazal collection was a celebration of South Asian beauty and culture, as part of their ongoing research into their heritage. The joint product features a model of the Scholl universe, reinterpreted by GmbH’s design team to become the Ghazal Pescura. The word “ghazal” refers to a poetic expression of both the beauty and the pain of love, often accompanied by music.
Made in Italy
The unisex style was handcrafted in Italy and takes its owner on a journey of comfort and innovative design. Ghazal Pescura took inspiration from one of the most iconic Scholl styles from the ’70s, with a massaging footbed on top of the wooden sole. This unique detail, which brings relief and ease to one’s feet, has been kept by the Berlin designers, but it has now been paired with a chunky and soft cushioned upper.
To follow the dedication that GmbH and Scholl share to sustainability, the upper is made of recycled synthetic leather and technical-knitted mesh. Colors range from moss green to burgundy red and silver.
The capsule will be available from July 18 onward on Scholl’s website, in selected stores, and on GmbH’s webshop for the price of 195 euros.
