The one green beauty brand that answers all our skincare prayers

Even though the green beauty market is growing nowadays, we feel like there’s still a lot misconception out there. Please be aware that when a (conventional) brand claims to be natural, they’re still allowed to sneak in synthetic chemicals into their products. Darling, we don’t want to put all those artificial ingredients such as fragrance and parabens on our skin, do we? It’s 2018 and time to be woke about what you’re putting onto your skin.  Besides, it’s summertime so who doesn’t want that natural, glowing skin? Though, we have to admit, all of this research can be a little overwhelming at times. Luckily you don’t have to stress anymore. We’ve done all the research and testing for you and we might have just come across our new holy grail brand…

Botanical bliss

Enter Grown Alchemist, a botanical skin care brand from Melbourne. It was founded in 2008 by two brothers- Jeremy and Keston- who traveled the world to find high quality plant-based ingredients. Mix in a little bit of science and you end up with a range of no-nonsense, clean and green products that your skin will just adore. Grown alchemist uses zero artificial and harmful ingredients. YAY! Their organic formulas aim to improve both the texture and appearance of your skin. But not only that… the smell is beyond amazing. Imagine having a daily spa-treatment on in the middle of nature, that’s exactly how it smells like. Herbaceous, botanical scents which will make you feel super refreshed and revived.

Not only their ingredients, but everything about the brand is eco-friendly. Grown Alchemist puts all of their magic formulations into sustainable packaging which, by the way, looks very sleek and sophisticated on your bathroom shelf. Also, good news for the vegans out there because none of their products are tested on animals or include any animal derivatives. I mean, how can you not love the brand?

Another big plus is that their entire range is unisex.  In other words: you and your partner can share the same product. How cool is that?. Done with the bathroom hassle. From now on you and your boo can work on getting healthy skin cells together. What a time to be alive.

Sounds all pretty amazing but are their products as promising as their brand philosophy? After a couple of months of trial (no error) it’s safe to say this might be one of the most effective brands we’ve ever used. Chances are pretty big you’ll never want to switch back to another brand. We decided to list some of our favorites down below for every step of your routine. That way you can treat yourself with a little starter pack and see the magic happen for yourself.

Hydra Restore Cream Cleanser from The Grown Alchemist
range of Grown Alchemist products

The editors’ picks

The Hydra Restore Cream Cleanser is without a doubt, the creamiest and most nourishing cleanser you’ll ever try. It feels very gentle and soothing on the skin. The main ingredients are olive Leaf and Plantago extract – which promotes  cell tissue regrowth and works as an antioxidant for your skin.

Their Balancing toner feels super refreshing due to the aloe vera and cucumber. It’s also packed with vitamin C, which is always a good idea for your skin. Just pop some onto a cotton pad after cleansing your skin to get that radiant summer glow.

If your skin needs that extra dose of moisture, the Hydra+ intensive cream is the one for you. It is rich and boosts hydration levels like crazy. The cream also contains biosaccharides which will help repair damage from the sun. And let’s face it, during the summer we could all benefit from that little extra care.

Keep in mind that this is just a tiny selection to give you an example of a basic routine. Meanwhile, we’ve tested out many other Grown Alchemist products and somehow they all seem to work wonders. We highly suggest you check out their site in order to find specific products that’ll suit your skin type and needs. Good to know is that they also do haircare. So if you’re interested in a review on that, definitely let us now because guess what? We already stocked up on their hair products too!

If you live in Europe you can also check out the  website, they’re selling Grown Alchemist and a fine selection of other natural beauty products.
