Healthy Eating In London For Your New Years Resolutions

We all know how it is – throughout Christmas time, the number of high-calorie foods, drinks and sweets that pass through your lips may seem like they’ll stay endlessly on your hips. It is also safe to say, that come to every New Year we all have one common New Years resolution: to live healthily. In anticipation of this revolutionary resolution, here’s a look at some fabulous places for healthy eating in London.

Farmacy – Notting Hill

Farmacy is a restaurant located in the beautiful Notting Hill area and sources their ingredients from local organic UK farms. They have a wide range of food, from clean salads like their Macro bowl to healthy comfort foods such as their Farmacy Burger which is based on millet, black beans and mushrooms.

All their dishes are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, as well as people who aim to remove dairy, additives, chemicals and refined sugars from their diet. You can enjoy delicious cold pressed juices and superfood smoothies, but if you’re in the mood for a nice glass of wine? They have a wine list containing wines that are organic, free from sulphur and so on. Sounds like the perfect place to me, doesn’t it?

Address: 74 Westbourne Grove, London W2 5SH, UK
Opening hours: 8AM – 11PM
What to eat: Macro Bowl
What to drink: Alkaline Booster or a nice organic white wine from Spain

The Corner Bar – Selfridges

The Corner Bar is technically not a healthy eating spot, however you can get away with a very healthy meal if you follow my food and drink order.

Located inside the iconic department store Selfridges, The Corner Bar is located in the womenswear galleries and has a fabulous menu ranging from afternoon teas with scones and cakes, to really good salads. Steer away from the afternoon tea in the New Year and enjoy the superfood salad, which is my favourite in all of London. Accompany it with a glass of skinny champagne – champagne without added sugar, therefore half the calories – and you’ll be ready to walk out and try on skinny jeans.

Address: Selfridges, 400 Oxford St, London W1A 1AB, UK
Opening Hours: 11AM – 9PM
What to eat: Superfood Salad
What to drink: Skinny Champagne

The Natural Kitchen – Marylebone

This healthy eating spot is so much more than just a restaurant. It’s a deli, café, butcher, juice bar and more. The Natural Kitchen have expanded into several locations in London, however the Marylebone branch is the first one they opened in 2007.

You can truly find anything and everything here, and what’s great is that the food counter gives you the opportunity to choose exactly what you may want to eat in order to tailor make that meal perfectly for you. The same with the juice bar: be daring and add any ingredient you may desire, or choose from their long menu of freshly made juices.

The butcher is also very good and they have a peri peri chicken that is to die for!

Address: 77/78 Marylebone High St, Marylebone, London W1U 5JX, UK
Opening Hours: 7AM – 8PM
What to eat: Make your own salad
What to drink: Create your own drink, my go to is: cucumber, spinach, kale, celery, ginger and lemon
