zomer, founded by Danial Aitouganov and Imruh Asha, has quickly become a force in contemporary fashion. As a semi-finalist for this year’s LVMH Prize, the brand is known for its sculptural approach to design, merging artistry with an intrinsic sense of play. On the other hand, KARHU, with over a century of athletic heritage, has been synonymous with technical innovation and timeless functionality. Together, they present a sneaker that embodies contrast and coexistence—where craftsmanship and creative rebellion meet in perfect harmony.

The Mestari Kesä is transformed through zomer’s expressive vision, featuring a split-color design that symbolizes balance. This unexpected approach to color blocking and material play challenges conventional footwear aesthetics while remaining deeply rooted in expert craftsmanship.

Movement Captured in Time

The KARHU by zomer campaign is more than just a product launch. It is an artistic study of movement, form, and identity. Captured by renowned photographer Dan Tobin Smith, the visuals strip away distraction, featuring professional dancers wearing nothing but the sneakers. Twisting and folding into sculptural shapes, their bodies form some sort of mandalas: rigid structures crafted from organic motion. In this frozen frame, the sneakers serve as the only point of reference, marking the beginning and end of the human form in movement.

This poetic imagery, choreographed by Benjamin Jonsson, underscores the essence of this collaboration. The seamless integration of body and design, movement and structure, play and precision.

The shoes are set to drop exclusively on April 11 for €190 through the KARHU website.
