Kai Wén Treats Us with a Suprise EP Filled with Bops

The holidays are around the corner, but Christmas came early this year because Belgian artist Kai Wén released a surprise EP today. After producing for multiple platinum-selling artists, Wén decided to push his own project in the limelight. With success, because in 2017 he won ‘De Nieuwe Lichting’, a competition organized by Belgians most popular radio station among young people, Studio Brussel. Earlier this year, Kai Wén released his interesting debut-EP ‘FĒNGFÙ’. There’s no doubt, Kai Wén is here to stay and slay!

It’s getting colder outside, but Kai Wén’s new EP Yukkuri definitely keeps us warm. On the first track, the upcoming singer Anouchka Cangé joins the rising star with her incredibly smooth vocals that harmonize angelically with Wén’s vocals. A song that sounds as if it was made in heaven and found its way to earth. The second track “Pleaser” is even stronger and got us from the very beginning. Thee deep house beats and strong runs kept us interested throughout the whole song. Especially the chorus made us melt away. The same goes for the third track “Back II You”, where R&B and soul blend beautifully together into a seductive song. Kai Wén closes his surprise release Yukkuri, which is Japanese for “slowly”, with another bop. “Fall” is as smooth as the other songs on the EP and shows that Kai Wén is an artist everyone should keep an eye on. Deep trap at his best.
