Knitwear for Spring? Groundbreaking? Juliet Raczkowski Thinks YES!

Spring has finally sprung, and we are saying goodbye to winter (all ninety days of it)! But we are not ready to say buh-bye to knitwear. At least not to our Raczkowski knits. In case you are not familiar with the Copenhagen-based Juliet Raczkowski just yet, you’re about to be. And you won’t regret it!

The 22-year-old designer has her mind set on changing the status quo when it comes to wearable fashion and rudimentary techniques such as knitting and crocheting. And we are here for it.

As I shared ginger- and honey-infused tea with Raczkowski in inner Copenhagen, I learned that Raczkowski’s designs are often inspired by nature and the uncertainty of natural events and reactions. This heavily reflects on the design process of the odd garments as well. With no technical or strict procedure in place, Juliet’s knits incorporate organic elements into each aspect of her brand, according to her intuition.

Showing skin

Apart from familiar nature forms like moss, blueberry bushes, the shape of water, and blazing fires. The designer finds comfort and beauty in human shapes and isn’t afraid to show a little skin. While she sees nothing wrong with covering up your body, the designer is a firm believer in freedom of choice. Showing one’s femininity or masculinity however they please and whatever that may mean to an individual wearing the Raczkowski designs.

So for this spring, wrap yourself in some knitted Raczkowski pieces and get ready to turn some heads once you hit the streets.
