Lady Gaga Joins Forces With WHO for ‘One World: Together At Home’

In difficult times like these, it’s important to stay inside to prevent the COVID-19 virus from spreading even more. To support the WHO (World Health Organization), mother monster herself Lady Gaga announced that she’s organizing an event like there haven’t been many before.

On April 18th, broadcasters all over the globe will air the One World: Together At Home show, where money will be raised to fund protective equipment for healthcare professionals.

Lady Gaga, who is curating and organising the charity concert, is not asking ordinary people for donations. Instead, she called more than 68 corporations asking to donate to the COVID-Solidarity Response Fund. They have raised $50 million so far. “We want to raise the money before we go on air. When we do go on air, put your wallets away and enjoy the show.”

They love to entertain you!

The biggest entertainers in the world are set to take part in this giant show-event and all you need to do to enjoy the show is staying home. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert are set to host the event, that will see performances from the likes of Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, FINNEAS, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lady Gaga, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan and Stevie Wonder. More artists are said to be announced later.

Stronger together

One World: Together At Home is not only an event to remind everyone to stay home and take care of themselves, but also to thank everyone out there that is working hard to get more control over this pandemic. “We are all so very grateful to all of the healthcare professionals across the country and the world who are on the front lines during COVID-19,” Gaga said while announcing the show. This pandemic is surely changing the world, but let’s just hope we end up stronger together. There’s no I in ‘team’, so let’s do this together and join this event.

The event will be live-streamed on Alibaba, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, LiveXLive, Tencent, Tencent Music Entertainment Group, TIDAL, TuneIn, Twitch, Twitter, Yahoo and YouTube and will be broadcasted on the biggest international channels such as BBC, ABC and NBC.

We’ll see you on the livestream on 18 April at 8 pm ET! Make sure you follow us on Instagram and Twitter because we’ll, of course, be covering this important event.
