Martin Asbjørn’s Fall 2019 Collection Blends Modernity With Tradition

Martin Asbjørn’s Fall 2019 collection ‘Freedom’ presents a variety of silhouettes. It blends different types of tailoring, with sharp shapes from the ’30s, playful color associations from the ’60s and codes of the ’90s’ new wave culture.

The designer revitalizes the codes of classic menswear, between sophistication and sporty details and cuts. Reversible coats, baby pink corduroy overalls and twisted stripes are key for a relaxed look for next winter.

We loved the retro details, such as the shimmery croco on the “Dad Jacket” and color smoked glasses. The brand unveiled its first footwear styles in collaboration with Pregis and created a military boot with the camo/leo print that we also saw on the shirts. Martin Asbjørn proposes stylish apparel, elevated by a sweet and fresh attitude. This balance between streetwear and classic codes of luxury tailoring is a great answer to what millennials are looking for: liberation.
