Meet Miista: The Footwear Label That Stands out

Put Spanish heritage in the mix with London design and Miista would be the result. Founder Laura Villasenin grew up on the Galician coast and moved to East London, where she launched her own brand in 2010. The past eight years her label has been growing into a wanted footwear brand for contemporary women.

How about individuality?

You’d think it’s easy for women to find the ideal pair of shoes. There are countless footwear labels popping up out of nowhere. Not to mention the chain stores and basically every luxury, mid-segment label that’s having its own shoe collection. Nonetheless, it’s not that easy to find a pair that has a more unique design.

The chunky sneakers are hot and happening, every brand all of a sudden has a pair in its collection. Same with cowboy boots, sock boots, hiking shoes and so on. In many cases, there’s just a lack of vision. Obviously a collection needs to be commercial, but sometimes the consumer may be challenged to step out of a certain comfort zone.

Miista doesn’t ignore all trend rules, but the label’s approach can definitely be defined as a more individual one. The collection is a perfect mix between on trend yet original. Besides that, all shoes are made in Spain, have a great fit and prices are very reasonable.
