Musical Genius LAFAWNDAH Dazzles In New Video For ‘Daddy’

LAFAWNDAH is a woman of many cultures and can absolutely be named a global citizen. The artist has roots in Iran, Egypt and England, has lived in Teheran, Mexico City, New York and Paris and unites all these different cultures and places in her magnificent music. Her debut album ‘Ancestor Boy’ is one of the strongest pieces of music we’ve heard these past months and has a storytelling aspect. Today, the singer released the out-of-this-world music video of her genius single “Daddy”.

We can’t come up with a reason why LAFAWNDAH isn’t on the same popularity level as FKA Twigs or Solange, because her artistry is so fast-forward and avant-garde, just like her colleagues. Ancestor Boy is thrilling, one of a kind and extremely enjoyable.

Viva la mama!

We don’t need many words to describe how amazed and blown away we were by the visual art LAFAWNDAH created for “Daddy”. The song is probably her most accessible song so far and is the most graceful R&B, you’ll hear today. The music video stars her mother and herself and sees a dazzling performance by these two extremely strong women. Thanks to the wonderfully simple shots, which emphasizes the sound of the song with so much fragility and beauty, you’re falling in love with the art of this promising artist. A must-listen and must-watch!
