These Are the Must-Visit Streetwear Stores in Antwerp

As most of you know Enfnts Terribles is based in Antwerp. So, if we tell you we know where to find the good stuff, we know. Antwerp is known for being a fashion city, since the Middle Ages it has been the heart of the textile industry. And Antwerp is still honoring that title.

The Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp is viewed as one of the most important and most influential fashion trainings in the world. Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Martin Margiela, Raf Simons… are just some of the iconic designers that this city has produced. The city also has a big range of streetwear stores, we’ve listed our favorite ones for you.

Renaissance and Princess

Renaissance and Princess are two multi-brand stores that are part of Princess Group. Princess Group was founded by the mother of current owner Karin Heeren, and grandmother of co-owner Astrid Somers. Their family story started in 1953 with a small baby store, but they grew into a group that owns multiple luxury fashion stores in both Antwerp and the Belgian coast. Renaissance features women and menswear and has a range of high-end brands such as Rick Owens and Maison Martin Margiela. But you can also find brands such as Off-White and Yeezy. Princess has less streetwear brands in their collection, but it’s still worth a visit. Brands as Allude, Micheal Kors, Moncler, Max Mara … are just some examples of brands in their collection.

Vier

Vier

VIER is Raf Simons’ favorite skate brand, and we understand why. This small store has a different range of American, European and Japanese streetwear and skater brands. But they also have their own brand called “Vier”. Remember the iconic “Antwerp” hoodie, that was featured in a Kendrick Lamar’s music video for King’s Dead? That’s from their collection! Also, while you’re in this neighborhood, stay a while. The Kammenstraat has a lot of nice stores that are definitely worth a visit.

Address: Kammenstraat 66 -2000 Antwerp

Avenue

Avenue has been Antwerp’s best sneaker store since 2007. They have a wide range of different streetwear brands for him and her. They’re also one of the few stores in Belgium that have released limited edition sneakers, such as Yeezy, Nike (Nikelab) and Puma (Cream). As most sneaker stores they have a small clothing collection featuring typical sportswear brands like Adidas, Patta, Reebok and Fila.

Arte

Arte

Arte is a streetwear brand founded in 2009 by Antwerp designer Bertony Da Silva. But it’s so much more than just a clothing label, they call themselves a multidisciplinary creative house/label. Graphic design and other visual arts have been at the base of every collection. They recently opened a second store, this time in another Belgian city, Ghent. But they are also making a name internationally. So keep an eye out for this brand, their story is only just beginning!

Louis

Louis has been in Antwerp for 30 years. This multi-branded store has a wide range of luxurious brands for both men and women. You can also find different accessories such as bags, sunglasses, jewelry, perfume… The store has some great Belgian designers like Maison Margiela, Ann Demeulemeester and Véronique Leroy.
